ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Thursday voiced exasperation over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif saying he (PM) filed his own response leaving out his children.
Talking to media here after Supreme Court of Pakistan heard Panama Leaks petitions, he said the court demanded reply from Nawaz Sharif’s children; however, no such reply was submitted in today’s hearing.
The PTI chairman noted Attorney General cannot plead Nawaz Sharif’s case as he takes salary from taxpayers’ money.
Khan said Attorney General is acting as private servant of Nawaz Sharif, adding, “How can he defend a corrupt family?”
Previously, the PML-N leaders said they have no objection to the court’s jurisdiction to hear the petitions requesting the court for an inquiry into Panama Leaks, he pointed out.
Contrary to their previous assertions, the PML-N challenged the court’s jurisdiction in today’s hearing, the PTI chief said adding, “I am pleased that the SC rejected their objection and asserted on maintainability of the petitions.”
The PTI chief said chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was shelled and this government step triggered hatred among KPK masses. –SAMAA
